What We Do
Every program we run starts with the same question: what does someone actually need — right now, where they are — to find and use their voice?
A structured series of workshops where participants learn to identify, shape, and share their own stories — in their own words, in whatever form feels right. No polish required. No narrative arc demanded. Just the truth of what someone has lived.
Sessions run in small groups of 8–12 to create the conditions for real trust. Facilitators are trained in trauma-informed practice and many are program alumni themselves.
For many people, the hardest part isn't finding their voice — it's getting anyone to listen once they use it. Our advocacy program connects individuals with the resources, networks, and people they need to be heard by the systems that affect their lives.
We work one-on-one with participants to help them navigate housing, education, healthcare, and legal systems — and we advocate alongside them when those systems push back.
Silence doesn't exist in a vacuum — it's sustained by systems that don't know how to recognize it. Our education program brings Unmuted into schools, community organizations, and workplaces to help people in positions of influence learn to see and respond to the signs.
We offer presentations, workshops, and ongoing training programs for educators, parents, employers, and community leaders.
Who We Serve
We don't require people to fit a profile. But here's who our programs are most built for, and what we're most equipped to help with.
